Spring Market unwind…Part 1

Posted in Blog | 3 comments

Hard to believe that HP Furniture Market ended 2 weeks ago, it feels like yesterday.  Now that my mind has had some time to digest the abundance of new offerings, I will pick some of my favorite things.  This time it is really going to be hard because it is probably one of the best markets I have seen in a while.

So I have to start off with the candy colored coffee table at Worlds Away…yummy, I can only imagine they sold hundreds of these!

Next stop, Hickory Chair..always at the top of our list to see what they are showing, and what design direction they are taking…

There was the use of color in a soft and restrained manner, lots of beautiful blues…

and Suzanne Kasler had a particularly gorgeous blue on the walls.  This allowed the beautiful silhouettes of her upholstery collection to show, covered almost entirely in creamy fabrics…Suzanne was wonderful and gracious as always to chat with us for a while…

Chris and Laura Holland with Hickory Chair looking colorful, as COLOR seemed to be on a lot of peoples minds.

One thing we love about market is getting to see some of our favorite people, and here are 2 of our favorites at Hickory chair, our rep Nathan Copeland, and his brother Kent, who came in to lend a hand.

Speaking of favorite people, next stop, Modern History….and a look at all of the new offerings that Michael Beaver has come up with since last market…

I have to say that  a new introduction of lucite tables bordered with solid brass was fantastic!  A trio of a console, coffee table , and side table  are a  beautiful rendition that would work just as easily in very traditional surroundings, as well as transitional or modern

Love the new range of blues showing up….pool, lapis, cobalt, with charcoal grays and whites, this was at Festoni, and great lamps below..

j. Douglas showroom, as always, had some great offerings….

This bookcase by NOIR is filled with books from E Lawrence Ltd., so many colors, great for accessorizing..

a new line is Article 24, shown with Best slipcover, and Lacefield pillows below..

okay, so I am really starting to see a BLUE thing happening….

Stayed tuned for Part 2, as I could not fit all the great finds in this post!
